The Périgord Lawn Bowls Club is set in the grounds of La Charrue on the D939 between Vieux Mareuil and Monsec in the Parc Naturel du Périgord / Limousin in the Department of Dordogne, France.
It’s a great place to meet people and participate in friendly competition and social events.
Mixed events offer men and women the opportunity to compete in a fun and relaxed environment.

A cycling blog Steve is a veteran racing cyclist currently living and racing in France. Cycling is his life, it shapes just about everything he does, and when people ask him what he does, he normally says that "I am a cyclist". He has some racing success over the years, but that’s not because he is a talented athlete. In fact when he was tested at college while studying sports physiology he was told that he would never amount to much as a sportsman. Just an ordinary bloke, who works hard on his bike. He writes in the hope that he might inspire others to become cyclists. There really is nothing else that compares for Steve. |

CLUB D'ENTRAINEMENT DES LEVRIERS CHARENTAIS
Do you own a dog in the SIGHT HOUND group, for example Greyhound, Whippet, Afghan,Saluki etc., if so why not come and see what this club could offer you and your pet. The dogs race on an open field course and/or on a circuit, at club level, no gambling, drugs, mistreatment or other nasties, it is just for fun. All the dogs are pets and thoroughly enjoy the day out. If you wish to take it further there are competitions but even at these the most you will win is a bottle of wine or a cup, NO MONEY. The club has members from England, France, Ireland & Switzerland so its a good place to practice or perfect your French, the dogs though all seem to speak the same language. Old dogs are never “ got rid of “ but just retire and stay with their owners and come to the club meetings for a day out with old friends. We meet at 1100 am, every Monday, at various locations in the area and the walks are “guided” by one of the volunteers in rotation. Hi my name is Simon Williams and I am a qualified and insured Karate instructor.
I have been training in Shotokan Karate for 30 years and teaching for over 20 years.
Karate classes are held every Thursday at St Mathieu Gymnase next to Ecomarche - 18.00 -19.00-Beginners.
Ages 7 plus taken.
We will be starting a new class in Cussac Gymnase, every Saturday 18.00 -19.00.
Also a bit of good news we are now recognised by the French Federation for Karate, our Club is now affiliated to the FFkarate, Ligue de Limousin, Affilation Number 0870626, which means we can take part in all their competitions held throughout France.

Cadanses Folk - Traditional French Music and Dance
Lessons every two weeks, dances throughout the year - come and join! . . . .
What is traditional French folk music and dance?
Many of you will have seen the nice ladies and gentlemen at the Fetes in their flowery dresses and waistcoats performing a colourful display - but this is very much a historical reenactment of folk dancing at the beginning of the last century.
What we do is very much more up to date - and fancy dress is not required!
The membership fee covers the hire of the hall, expenses for bands and dance teachers and subsidises the various events which are organised throughout the year - good value!
